EF nib

Extra fine stainless steel nib with a rainbow surface - every nib is different.

1.1mm italic nib

Italic nibs give wider lines when writing down than across, they make your signature and writing more distinctive. Also called calligraphy nibs or stub nibs.
The italic nib gives your handwriting a characteristic 'olde worlde' look, your hand writing will be unmistakably written with a fountain pen.
No special skill is needed, just write normally.
This is a regular italic width suitable for calligraphy or everyday writing.

1.5mm italic nib (choose 'stub' option)

This is a wide italic suitable for signatures, calligraphy, art, or everyday writing for the brave!
Wider italics/stubs tend to write more dryly so some skipping is expected if you are a fast writer.

1.9mm italic nib

An even wider italic for headings and titles. This also may skip if writing quickly.

Fude nib

The Fude (pronounced 'food - eh') nib - also called bent nib - was invented to mimic the look of a brush for Chinese and Japanese writing. The width of the stroke can be varied by changing the angle you hold the pen.

This takes a bit more skill than the italic nib to use correctly but allows more variation and control.

Perfect for Japanese or art deco style ink drawings as well as Calligraphy.

Piston filled fountain pen with a special soft semi flexible 'Maru' or 'mapping pen' nib.
This stainless steel nib gives a fine line for drawing detail but is also semi-flexible so you can draw thin or thick lines depending on the pressure. It flexes from extra-fine to medium.
The nib can be user-replaced with spare nibs available as an option.

This is a specialised pen for artwork, calligraphy and Manga. Unlike writing pens, the nib wears down and will eventually need replacing.

This piston filled pen holds a large amount of ink. To fill the pen, just put the nib in ink and twist the end. There is a click when full.

Transparent body let's you see the amount of ink left and it's colour.
This pen is not suitable for cartridges, use with bottled ink only. The hooded nib makes filling possible even when there is a small amount of ink left in the bottle.

To use:

Replace the cartridge with the CON-40 converter, insert the nib into the ink bottle, then turn the filler knob to draw ink up into the converter.

Note it is normal for the converter to only fill about 2/3 of the way. This is because the air in the feed is pulled up first into the converter.

To completely fill the converter instead insert the end of the converter in the ink and fill it, then put the converter in the pen.

The converter takes about 0.4 ml of ink.
